**Breathwork** is a powerful practice that allows us to regulate our nervous systems, calm and soothe our mind and bodies, and increase our sense of calm, clarity and focus.

The type of **breathwork** we’ll be engaging in is a conscious connected breath. If you haven’t practiced that before, please read through the below information.

### All you need to know:
- No previous experience is needed, I’ll be guiding you through it and you can take it at your own pace.
- You’ll be lying down, so make sure you can get cosied up and find a comfortable
position. You can support your head but ensure your neck/throat can remain open so a light pillow is fine, just nothing that would elevate your head too much and inhibit the flow of air. It may also be most comfortable to have a pillow under your knees to relieve any potential strain on your back. 
- An eye mask can be nice to have but is not a requirement
- Your body temperature may drop during the practice so please ensure you will be nice and warm.

###  Contraindications:
There are some contraindications of breathwork to take note of. This will be a relaxing but active breathwork practice. If you experience any of the below, please consult your healthcare provider before you participate and let me know at my email below.
- Cardiovascular problems
- High or abnormal blood pressure
- History of aneurisms
- Epilepsy or history of seizures
- Anyone on heavy medication
- Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia
- Bipolar depression
- Osteoporosis
- Recent surgery
- Glaucoma
- Pregnancy
- Anyone experiencing an emotional, mental or spiritual distress who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support
